For the 2008/2009 Harvest Campaign you may choose to pay for your Hail Policy with a grain exchange.

Benefits for the Associate

Avoids IVA withholdings for Registered Taxpayers.
Saves debit and credit bank taxes.

 

Characteristics
  • You may pay Hail Policies with the harvest of crops such as wheat, corn and soy (only).
  • Policies are exchanged equally for grains or oleaginous crops.
  • Smallest exchange unit: one truckload.
Requirements for Payment in Exchange
  • Tax (IVA) requirement: To be a Registered Taxpayer.
  • To be a member or to join the Argentine Agricultural Producers Federation (Agricultores Federados Argentinos – AFA)..
Exchange Deadlines

EThe insured that fulfills all requirements and chooses Payment in Exchange, must present a notice of intent before the following dates:

  • For Thin Harvest Policies: December 1st, 2008.
  • For Thick Harvest Policies: April 1st, 2009.
Delivery Sites

Any primary Co-Op site or AFA sub-centers (please view map previously to the delivery date, and be sure to check for space availability).
